Classes: Kids Can Cook
Ages 5-8
3 hours/class Monday, March 12 9-12noon
Each budding chef will learn to prepare a special food for breakfast, lunch, dessert, snack and drink. – Menu consists of Cackling Breakfast Sandwich, Cow Pie Pizza, Purple Cow, Smorffins, and Turtles on a Log. After class students will enjoy the food they prepared, sitting at the picnic tables under the large pavilion on the farm. Afterwards, if time permits, students will be able to play in the barnyard until pick-up time, 12 noon.
Skills taught – proper hand washing, kitchen safety and sanitation, becoming familiar with common kitchen abbreviations and terms, safe use of a microwave, cracking eggs, mixing and measuring and learning to follow a recipe. Students will also bring home handouts of recipes they learned, to share and enjoy with the rest of the family.
Cost – $16 plus tax. Preregistration Required. Class size limited to 10. Students will be provided with an apron to wear, however play clothes are recommended. Please, no sandals or flip-flops.

Ages 8-12
3 hours per class
Tuesday March 13, 9am-12 noon
After completing this class students will enjoy hosting their own pizza party at home. Menu includes Wagon Wheel Pizza (homemade dough and sauce), Shake Up Salad, Cookies, and Healthy Smoothies. Students will enjoy eating the food they prepared, sitting at the picnic tables under the large covered pavilion at the farm. Bonus recipes if time permits, or play on the farm until pick up time, 12 noon.
Skills taught – Kitchen safety and sanitation, proper use of knives and other kitchen tools and appliances, (oven, mixer and blender) mixing, measuring and learning to follow a recipe. Students will also bring home handouts of recipes they learned, to share and enjoy with the rest of the family.
Cost – $18 plus tax. Preregistration Required. Class size limited to 10. Students will be provided with an apron to wear, however play clothes are recommended. Please, no sandals or flip-flops.

Ages 12 -18
3 hours per class
Wednesday, March 14 9-12noon
In this fun class students will learn how to make their favorite fast foods in a healthy way (but don’t tell them that. These recipes are so delicious they’ll never guess they’re good for them too!) Menu includes Homemade Pizza, Breadsticks with Maranara Sauce, Brownies and Delicious Smoothies. Bonus recipes also if time permits. Students will also be taught proper table etiquette such as seating, manners and place settings, which will help them be at ease dining in the finest restaurant or banquet setting.
