Planning Your Field Trip to the Farm
Kids love our farm animals!
The youth of today are 4 and 5 generations away from living on a farm. Recent surveys indicate most children have no idea where their food comes from. These same youth grow up to become the leaders of tomorrow, responsible for making decisions and legislation that affects not only farmers, but American jobs and our food supplies.
We believe it is critical that children learn accurate information about farming and it’s importance to our lives, and what better place to do that but on a farm.

Preparing to come to the Farm
Remember to dress like you are going camping. No open toe shoes please. If the weather seems to be a concern, please feel free to call and check how things are looking here at the farm. Rain out days have been set-aside for necessary postponements.
New! ”Classroom in the Corn”
Our field trips feature a learning experience focused on the life cycle of corn (etc), with unique, fun, educational activities that expose children to agriculture. Many are combined with farm adventures, such as: corn maze exploration, hayrides, pumpkin patches, etc.
Hands-on learning experiences are always best when students have been prepared for what they are about to encounter and are able to then discuss what they learned afterwards. We are pleased to offer our “Classroom in the Corn” learning series to make your field trip more exciting and memorable … as well as a better learning experience.
They have been developed with activity goals, National Curriculum Standards, preparation required, materials needed, worksheets, and step-by-step instructions.
Download a sample activity now! When you register for a field trip, we will send you a password to download the section applicable for your classes.
